Maidin flight
I bought a 40 size ME-109 from andy, it had a huge supra motor in it but i think it's gonna go into a big 3D foamie,anyway I dropped a OS 55 in it. A very dependable engine. I've never flone a tail-dragger with a tail wheel,this proved to be a challange But i did master Curt's nose drag landing LOL, I had go to back add a little weight to the tail and add a little more eleavator,this seem to do the trick.I took it out today and it flew Great!Scared the Crap! out of me, but it got the blood runnin, even tho there was alot of distractions like Phil puttin his hand into his motor. It was runnin.Dave's brand new plane running into Ronn's It was not pretty.but after all he did get 6 flight's out of it.And all the other crash,boom and splat's.
I heard you got it flying. Great. Remember to check the location of the landing gear. If they get bent back behind the LE it will want to nose over. But you could have had it bit nose heavy too. As you said, the tail weight did solve the problem.
